Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026
Assistive Touch is an assistive floating-button utility for Android. Permissions are used only to provide features you choose, such as displaying the floating button, performing system actions, taking screenshots, recording the screen, and opening favorite apps.
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app Assistive Touch, package name touch.assistive.smarttouch. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to the developer of Assistive Touch.
For privacy questions, contact us at support@quovadstudio.cc.
2. Information We Collect
Usage and Analytics Data
We use Firebase Analytics to understand basic feature usage and improve the app. Analytics data may include app opens, screen views, feature interactions, permission guide interactions, Android SDK version, app version, build type, and whether a requested action succeeded. We do not use this information for advertising.
Crash and Diagnostics Data
We use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and stability issues. Reports may include app version, package name, device model, manufacturer, Android version, language, crash logs, stack traces, and limited diagnostic state needed to reproduce a failure.
Anonymous Identifiers
Assistive Touch creates a random installation identifier for analytics and crash diagnosis within the current app installation. It changes when you clear app data or uninstall and reinstall the app. We use it to correlate usage events and repeated failures from the same installation, not to identify you by name, track you across reinstalls, or serve advertising.
Assistive Touch does not read, hash, or upload Android ID, advertising ID, IMEI, or MAC address as a custom identifier. Firebase may process its own app-instance and diagnostic identifiers according to Google's privacy documentation.
Installed Apps and Favorite Shortcuts
Assistive Touch lets you select launchable apps as favorite shortcuts. To provide the app picker, Assistive Touch may read app names, icons, and package names for launchable apps installed on your device. This information is processed locally to display the picker, save the shortcut you select, and open it when requested.
Assistive Touch does not upload the full installed-app list and does not use it for advertising, profiling, or background tracking.
Feedback You Choose to Send
If you contact us through your email app, we receive only the information you choose to include, such as your message, contact details, and attachments. Your email provider handles transmission according to its own privacy policy.
3. App Permissions and Why We Need Them
- Display Over Other Apps: Used to show the floating touch button and quick-action panel above other apps after you enable the feature.
- Accessibility Service: Used only after you enable it to perform actions you request, such as Home, Back, recent apps, notification shade, lock screen, power menu, and supported screenshots. Assistive Touch does not use Accessibility Service to read screen text, passwords, typed content, private messages, contacts, browsing history, or payment information. Accessibility data is not uploaded, sold, shared, or used for advertising or profiling.
- Screen Capture and Media Projection: Used only when you request a screenshot or screen recording and approve Android's system capture prompt when required. Captured files are saved locally unless you choose to share them.
- Microphone: Used only when you select a screen-recording sound option that includes microphone audio. Assistive Touch does not record microphone audio in the background outside a recording you start.
- Internal Audio: On supported Android versions, screen recording may capture audio that other apps allow Android to share. Some apps or protected content may block internal audio capture.
- Notifications: Used to show the active floating service, screen-recording status, and controls that let you return to or stop an active feature.
- Modify System Settings: Used for actions such as brightness, rotation lock, and screen timeout.
- Do Not Disturb Access: Used only when you request a sound-mode action that requires notification policy access.
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: Used for the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth quick actions. Depending on the Android version, Assistive Touch may switch the setting directly or open Android's system panel or settings page. Assistive Touch does not collect nearby device data or network content.
- Storage: On older Android versions, storage permission may be requested to save screenshots or recordings. On newer versions, Android MediaStore is used without broad storage access.
- Ignore Battery Optimizations: Requested only when you choose background protection so the user-enabled floating button remains reliably available. You can revoke it in Android system settings.
- Internet and Network State: Used for Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and opening web pages such as this Privacy Policy.
- Vibration: Used for brief touch feedback for supported gestures and actions.
4. Files and Content Created by You
Screenshots are saved locally, normally in DCIM/Screenshots. Screen recordings are saved locally, normally in Movies/SmartTouch. Assistive Touch does not automatically upload these files. Files leave your device only when you explicitly share them through another app or service.
5. Local App Data
Assistive Touch stores settings locally, including floating-button position and appearance, gesture choices, custom-menu layout, selected favorite apps, recorder preferences, permission-prompt state, and language preference. This lightweight configuration is stored through MMKV on your device. You can remove it by clearing app data or uninstalling Assistive Touch.
6. Third-Party Services
Assistive Touch uses these Google Firebase services:
- Firebase Analytics for basic app-usage analytics.
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash and stability reporting.
- Firebase Hosting to publish this Privacy Policy.

12. Your Choices and Rights
You control Assistive Touch permissions in Android system settings. Disabling a permission may make the related feature unavailable. You can clear local app data, delete generated media, or uninstall the app at any time.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. Contact us to exercise an applicable right.
13. Links to Other Apps and Sites
Assistive Touch may open system settings, camera apps, email apps, browsers, Google Play, or apps you select as shortcuts. Opening a camera app does not give Assistive Touch camera permission or access to camera content. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
